Hammermill® appreciates and applauds the role that small businesses play in keeping local communities healthy and vibrant.
Because Hammermill manufactures 100% of our products in the US, we employ thousands of American workers, most of them in the towns where our mills are located. By patronizing the small businesses in these mill towns, our employees are doing what they can to help them stay open and vital. But we want to do more.
So, this Small Business Saturday, we’re encouraging all of our customers to patronize the small businesses in their communities. Because there are few things easier, or more rewarding, than helping a small business owner earn a living by doing what he or she loves.
Better yet, make this Small Business Saturday the start of a yearlong “Shop Small” effort. Take a local yoga class. Buy a handcrafted gift from a local artist. Order produce from a local grocer. Have a poster framed at your local frame shop. Get your hair cut by a local barber or salon. You may be surprised by the hidden gems you discover.
By shopping small, you’ll also be establishing relationships with people who go out of their way to make you happy. And who truly want you to “come again.”
As the old business saying goes, shopping small is a “win-win” for everyone involved.
